Hey guys, I've started raising money for parks which have been heavily damaged by shitty hunters over the last year or so. The community will be buying memorial benches, bricks, or trees in as many parks as we can starting with the FOY and Fort Raleigh/Elizabethan Gardens There is a little more information on the facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thesecrettreasures Here is a mockup of the plaque for the FOY: Click the link below if you would like to donate https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=82VM4F3EYDV2A&source=url&fbclid=IwAR0YDC1_LWs9UJAO0wL2gQJPOiDXmxlWADWZrd3AFAt7bY1p-yRk-SU-BBE I have also created some t-shirts just for fun. All profits from the shirts will be donated to the Cleveland Foundation in honor of the Palencar family. https://teespring.com/stores/12treasures Including the officially licensed... by Josh... 'I AM NOT JOSH CORNELL' shirt. Thanks for your time and consideration. I'm not sure how charity stuff works on Q4T, so I hope Mark doesnt mind.

This drive rules. I donated. One thing not mentioned is that donating gets you entries into a raffle for copy of the Japanese The Secret book

Choice

Yeah it comes across a bit petty and trollish.

Choice wrote:: Yeah it comes across a bit petty and trollish. I took this idea to Josh and he liked it. He especially liked that all the money was going to charity. I wouldn't have done this if he wasn't cool with it.

Choice

A bit of creativity might've gone a long way. Perhaps a nice graphics of the grey statue crying image as a tribute.

Doghousereiley

Are you going to make one for Josh that say "I am Josh Cornell"

forest_blight

Thank you, George, for spelling "Byron Preiss" correctly. So rare these days!

drunknerds

It takes a special kind of joie de vivre to see a charity drive for parks and get upset about it

Choice

I don't think anybody is upset, just expect more. If Josh (if that's his real name) is OK with it then why the heck not. Be best!

Choice

George, I sincerely hope you don't take my comments as condemnation. I recognize your great work and contributions and good cause here. If I came across as rash please accept my apology; It was not my intent.

If I came across as rash please accept my apology; It was not my intent. I did appreciate your making sure mentalyl ill weren't getting made fun of behind their back. There's already so much stigma against mental illness. And I know the Secret thread on Something Awful makes me a hypocrit by saying this. But, if someone's going to claim that the Chicago cask is still buried and Rob Wrobel found a dummy cask after Preiss flew out and buried it right where Wrobel was digging, I just can't not share it

Spiritr

Burnstyle, I can donate a copy of the Japanese book in the pool as well just let me know which edition you prefer

Spiritr wrote:: Burnstyle, I can donate a copy of the Japanese book in the pool as well just let me know which edition you prefer Wow. If you would be willing to throw in a black copy we can totally do another drive, since this one is almost over. I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner!

Eastcoast

donated, great work. Will donate again if you run second giveaway Would be great to add a Japanese copy considering my English reprint cost me $47 CA
